Our first Vetbaseball trip of the new post pandemic season was on July 22, 2021. We hosted the members of DAV Post 133, and AL Post 142, both of Pompano Beach. That date was specifically chosen because the incoming National Commander of the DAV, Mr. Andrew Marshall, was making a visit to the Pompano Chapter, and accompanied us to the ballgame. Along with his lovely wife Susan, and a bus filled 40 plus veterans, we watched as Andy was recognized by the Marlins as he threw out the ceremonial first pitch, arranged by Vetbaseball.
