Alan Duretz was born in Philadelphia, becoming a third-generation veteran. He graduated from (Phila College of Textiles and Science) now Jefferson University, LaSalle (Orion) MBA, and completed the Healthcare Impact Program at the Wharton School. He enjoyed a 30 plus year career as a healthcare administrator, executive and principal stockholder. He was appointed to Florida’s Medicare Carrier Provider Outreach and Education Committee, Web Portal Development Team, Florida Healthcare Association PAC, and served as a 5-year Board Member and Treasurer of the Psychologists in Long Term Care Association.
A lifelong baseball fan, he has been a long time Marlins season ticket holder, instilling a love of the game to his daughters and grandchildren. He has enjoyed meeting and getting to know many MLB players, managers, executives, broadcasters, an agent or two. While Loan Depot Park, the home of the Miami Marlins is his favorite ballpark, he is well on his way of visiting all 32 of them. Alan Served from 1969-1976 in the U.S. Army (Reserve) being honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.
